Devlog 2 - Quietly Working

Hey!

It's been about two weeks since my last update, so I should give you guys a new one!

Like I predicted, gamedev is slow, but I'm still getting a little done every day! I have their movements and animations for all their skills now (not their IP skills--I desperately need a break from action sequences) and I even spruced up the way substitute is shown, so the character doesn't just -appear- in front of the person they're protecting! It was a headache, all the same, however. I also noticed a few .oggs weren't looping correctly and also made myself a headache fixing those (but now I know how to make a loop in the meta-data of the music! Wow!). And, lastly, I found myself a preloader I understood and am trying it to see if it'll keep my portraits from flickering. I worked really hard on them so I'd hate for that to keep happening despite my best efforts.

Over the next week or so I'm going to get back into eventing scenes! And then I'll be balancing the first boss and see if I can get a toaster analogy again if players can't beat it. I do have some cool ideas for bosses this time around, I just hope RPG Maker lets me do it without much of a fuss.

Since devlogs are boring without pictures, I took a screenshot of a new puzzle in the Eastern Tower that wasn't in the original!

I wonder what Snowe will have to do...

Maybe I'll have more to talk about next time! If there's anything you want me to blabber about, feel free to ask!
