Devlog 18 - Last one for a while

September was about as much of a trash fire as August. And it seems to be going to continue the trend. So, I'm not going to do monthly updates because all I literally did was one monster and one scene. I can't work on this as much as I had been in the past for various reasons and I don't ever have anything to say during devlogs anymore. I'll still slowly chip away at the game, but as it is, don't expect it any time soon because I literally don't have enough energy to work on it as much as I did.

Life continues to not be great. I might not even have a house to live in next year which puts a real damper on working on a game. So, I guess we'll see what happens. Maybe when/if that gets sorted positively, I'll be able to work faster, but as it is right now, I'm just exhausted and don't see the point. At least with writing, I don't need my desktop.

Thanks for all the support. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get this finished and released.

Sorry to hear things aren't great.  It might sound trite, but trying to stay positive and focusing on getting through it might be the best route.  Hope things improve for you!

Doing my best to stay positive! Thank you!

Take care of yourself. If you’re not in the place to enjoy working on a game right now, don’t - your fans will be here when you’re in a place to enjoy creating again.

I hope things get better in your life soon. <3

I appreciate it, thank you! <3

Hang in there. Focusing on your safety, wellbeing, and health is always first and foremost--glad to hear that is your priority now. I empathize too well with the feeling of defeat for not being able to keep up with progress, especially while life kicks your ass. This past summer I had trouble gathering together any sort of progress for a devlog, felt a lot of shame, etc.

Sometimes time away is what we need. I really hope that your life situation improves soon, and that you're able to feel game development as rewarding after resting and recentering. Good luck <3
